Jewellery in Films
There are so many films that have jewellery as the main centre point of the film. Here are just some of my personal favourites.
Titanic
Although this one really isn’t a big favourite of mine, it certainly made an impact on the world when it was first released.
The film is of course set around the Heart of the Ocean which is a very valuable blue diamond necklace.
This is actually a fictional diamond but was really made for the film and cost at around $10,000.
At the moment it is sitting somwhere in the Fox studios. In the film the treasure hunters track down the last owner who was a survivor of the titanic and it is then she recalls her personal account of the events.
The well made Lord of the Rings
Although this is technically a collection of books, for me the film really showed of the obsession that could be had when it comes to a piece of jewellery. It would seem that the main guy after the ting was always Gollum as he would kill, destroy and do whatever he could just to get his hands on it.
Everyone who is a fan of the series will know that Sauron was the maker of the ring and that it was lost for many years after he was killed over the first battle for middle earth, it was then picked up by Gollum.
The ring slowly turned Gollum from hobbit to animal over a period of 500 years which is when Bilbo Baggins got it from the creature and took it back the shire. This is where we first see the characters.
Indiana Jones
The brilliant Indiana Jones is of course famous for treasure hunting but does it for the benefit of the museum over himself~Of course everyone knows that Indiana Jones is famous for his treasure hunting skills, however he does it for the museum~Although The famous Indiana Jones is famous for his treasure hunting he always does it to take back to a museum of some kind,}. The real question is, will Ford pick up the role for another time? Let us just hope he isn’t taken over by the kid as that would suck.
If you are a fan of jewellery then it could be worth looking into buying some silver jewellery, silver pendants or even some of those silver bracelets.
