Do Mormons play violent video games or read Harry Potter?
Just curious, my Pastor told us not to read Harry because of the witch Craft and the spells in the book really work, but a lot of Christians I know, go ahead and read the Harry Potty books anyways. What say ye, Mormons? And what about vidoe games, when I was a mormon, I couldn’t go see “R” movies, or llisten to music with backmasking in it or some rock’n'roll songs that had drug referances.
my parents (mormons) sent my kids a Harry Potter book, we had to get rid of it.
I know mormons who do so… and I know so-called Christians who do so as well… your pastor is correct. The spells and the names of the ones of evil, in the potter books are very real… the author admitted this very early in the promotion of the book.. but when they became so popular the real connections to the forces of evil were downplayed and then ommited from further promotions… the author is an admitted witch… and the books amount to withchcraft 101 – 102…. The forces of evil are very real… I knew the truth of this long before I came to know The Truth of God… that is why I am absolutly opposed to the potter books… and have been since long before becoming a part of The Church.
